Palletised Transport
Our Logistics Division basically manages all our non-tanker movements which mainly consists of Palletised Transport volumes in the UK & Europe from 1 pallet to a full load. This division was developed following the acquisition of 'TP Farrell Transport Ltd' in 2010 and has since grown on a monthly basis to become an important part of the Abbey Logistics Group.
Operating from Liverpool, London and Hull, our Logistics division operate a fleet of 35 trucks and 45 trailers.
We have a versatile fleet offering the following;-
- Ambient curtainsiders – 7.5-18tonne rigids & 45ft articulated trailers with varying heights from 4.1m to 4.8m
- Temperature Controlled box trailers with 26 pallet floor space and temperature range of -24c to +24c
- Ambient box trailers - 45ft articulated trailers with tail-lift
Trailers are dedicated to food, clean and recyclable products to ensure suitability and eliminate the risk of contamination where necessary.
We also offer a warehousing facility in Knowsley, Merseyside via our logistics partner Henry Diaper & Co. Ltd specialists in Warehousing & Freight Forwarding. The bonded warehouse is 50,000m2 and can cater for food, non-food & hazardous products. Abbey have staff based at the Knowsley site and take care of all the distribution in partnership with Diapers.
