Bulk Powder Transport
Our 'Bulk Powder Transport' operation has tankers based across the UK carrying products such as Starch, Sugar, Flour, Salt, Plastic/Paper Pellets, Resins, Soya and Aggregates.
We have tankers suitable for food and non-food products with capacities upto 60m3 (30 tonne of product). All tankers are fitted with the latest air filtration systems and hydraulic tipping equipment for those products that require it.
All Drivers are well experienced in this market and have undergone intensive training to ensure they are skilled up in areas such as Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environment and HACCP.
Our Powder Tanker fleet has grown recently with the acquisition of Macclesfield Transport Ltd (RH Stevens Tankers). We are able to provide a tailored solution to your needs and build tankers to your exact requirements to take advantage of all the latest state of the art features.
Emergency Silo/Tanker Evacuation
Abbey operates a fleet of evacuation tankers which are used in emergency situations to suck powder products from damaged/overturned tankers, silos that are damaged or have contaminated product in, damaged containers and from silos that need routine maintenance or cleaning.

De-Bagging and Bagging Operation
From our base in Macclesfield, Abbey offers warehousing facilities for bags of powder products. We can de-bag these products into a bulk tanker for onward delivery or we can bring in bulk powder tankers and discharge into 1mt bags for onward delivery on a palletised trailer.
