ART diversifies into palletised transport - March 2010
ART DIVERSIFY WITH THE ACQUISITION OF T.P.FARRELL TRANSPORT LTD In line with our strategy to diversify into 3 new markets; Bulk Powder Transport, Palletised Transport and Bulk Dairy Transport, ART are pleased to announce the acquisition of TP Farrell Transport Ltd. TP Farrell Transport has provided Palletised Transport services successfully since 1999 and has developed a reputation of providing a quality service at a competitive price. This acquisition will combine TP Farrell's experience and knowledge of the palletised transport market with the strong reputation and market position of ART in the food industry. The opportunity to now offer our current clients a palletised transport service in addition to bulk liquid transport is intended to add value to existing relationships and establish new relationships with clients who do not operate in the bulk liquids market. Over the next few months ART Commercial Director - Dave Coulson will be visiting our existing customers along with our new Logistics Division Manager - Steve Farrell to discuss opportunities available and identify win-win solutions. ART currently offer a palletised transport service carrying products such as refrigerated convenience foods and speciality cooking oils and this acquisition will undoubtedly improve customer service levels and flexibility in this area.
