Abbey Roadtanks Achieve ISO14001 accreditation - October 2009
We are pleased to announce that the company has achieved registration to ISO 14001 at our first attempt. ISO 14001 is an international standard that recognises and upholds the Company's successful implementation of an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). Registration to ISO 14001 is a major landmark in the company's history and the Directors of Abbey Roadtanks are immensely proud of the efforts of its entire staff in this achievement. Whilst every team includes key players with special skills, the ability to concentrate the efforts and focus of its entire staff in such a new and energising initiative is reflective of an open, engaging, and participative culture. What does this mean for our stakeholders? Our stakeholders (staff, customers, suppliers and neighbours) can now be assured that we address all environmental issues both proactively and sympathetically. Our commitment to the environment is constant and we have an action plan in place to ensure an on-going programme of environmental improvement. Abbey Roadtanks have enjoyed the support of a number of third-party specialists over the course of the past seven months of this project. In particular, we would like to put on the record our thanks to the Carbon Trust, the team at Groundworks and DAF UK for their valued insight and support. |
