ART Appoints Harry Conroy to Director of Training - February 2010

Harry ConroyIn line with our strategy to train and develop all employees to the highest standards, it has been decided that Harry Conroy will step down from his role as Chairman for the next 12 months to focus solely on establishing a consistent, relevant and effective training regime for all ART employees.

Harrys' extensive experience and expertise in people development and human behavioural science will offer sound leadership in an area which ART feel is key to its continued future success.

In early 2009 ART expanded it's training team to include 2 full-time Training Managers plus 6 Driver Trainers which has enabled us to put over 50% of our Drivers through NVQ Level 3 and SAFED training which qualifies towards CPC requirements.

ART aim to have all Drivers qualified to NVQ Level 3 and SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) by June 2010.

In January 2010 all employees attended a national seminar which covered key areas including;-

- Food Hygiene & Safety

  • - The Environment
  • - Customer Care
  • - Drivers Hours
  • - Health & Safety

This seminar forms part of ARTs' ‘CARE project' (Customers Are Reason for Excellence) which is a continuous drive towards excellence.
